Brain Tumor Symptoms -signs of brain tumor-Treatment of brain tumors

Symptoms of Brain Cancer

The formation of abnormal cells inside the brain often results in brain tumors. Brain tumors are two types: benign tumors and malignant / cancer tumors. This means that not all brain tumors are cancer but only deadly.

The malignant tumor is further distributed by the primary tumor that forms inside the brain and secondary tumors that are produced from elsewhere inside the body. The latter type is also called cerebral metastasis tumors.

Risk factors

The risk factor is anything that can increase the chances of developing tumors in one's brain. Although risk factors have to contribute to its development, most of them do not really cause it. People with a number of risk factors can never develop brain tumors while whatever they can't do.

Some common risk factors are:

Age: Although brain tumors are common in older adults and children, anyone can develop them at any age.

Gender: Men are more likely to have brain cancer than women۔ Although some of its types, for example meningoma, are common only to women.

Exhibition: The risk of developing brain tumors increases when exposed to pesticides, solvents, rubber, vinyl chloride and oil products.

Family history: About 5% of brain tumors can be caused by hereditary factors, such as neurophromatosis, tubros sclerosis and le fremine syndrome.

Seizure and head injury: Severe head trauma often results in brain tumors.

Symptoms

Symptoms of brain tumors vary depending on the type of tumor and its size, location and growth rate. Common symptoms include:

  • Severe headaches
  • Confiscation
  • To vomit
  • Weakness
  • Nausea
  • Sensory changes
  • Memory changes
  • Vision change
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Evaluation

Doctors follow a lot of test procedures for brain tumors and its type of diagnosis. They also test to identify whether the tumor has spread to different parts of the body, known as metastasis.

The following items are considered by doctors to decide on the type of diagnostic test:

Patient symptoms and symptoms

Patient age and health condition

Tumor type is suspected

Doctors perform a variety of tests depending on the above factors. Some of them include:

MRI ( Magnetic resonance imaging ):

It is used to keep a detailed image of the body and to measure the size of the tumor. If the tumor is detected, the tumor tissue is collected by surgery or biopsy to identify its type.

CT Scan:

Unlike MRI that uses a magnetic field, CT Scan provides a 3D image of the body through X-rays. This helps to bleed inside the brain and indicate a change in the bone inside the skull.

Lumber puncture

In this procedure, doctors sample CSF ( cereibrospinal fluid ) by injection to identify tumor cells or biomarkers. Biomarkers are present in urine, spinal fluid, or other fluids of people with a particular type of cancer.

Vision, Nervous and Hearing Tests: This test is done to determine whether the tumor is affecting brain function.

Treatment

When diagnosed with brain tumors, a medical team is formed to determine the potential treatment options. There are some treatment options available to get rid of it, including:

Surgery:

This includes partially or completely re-investigation of the tumor

Chemotherapy:

Drugs are administered here to eliminate tumor cells, although they may have side effects

Radiotherapy

This is the most common option of treatment where the tumor is destroyed by gamma rays or X-rays

Finally, brain cancer should be treated immediately to avoid a long-term physical disability and even death.
